If you’re planning a trip to Colombia and dreaming of a day filled with turquoise water, white sand, and cocktails served to your beach bed, then you need to visit the Bora Bora Cartagena Beach Club. It’s easily one of the best Cartagena beach clubs and a must-visit for anyone who loves a touch of luxury mixed with Caribbean charm.

Where Is Bora Bora Cartagena Beach Club?
Bora Bora Cartagena Beach Club is located on Isla Grande, part of the beautiful Rosario Islands, just a 20-minute boat ride from Cartagena. It’s the perfect escape from the city’s heat and bustle, offering a private slice of Caribbean paradise. The club provides round-trip transportation, so you can simply show up at the marina and let them handle everything from there.
If you’re looking for other beaches closer to the city, check out this ultimate guide to Cartagena’s beaches. But if you want a full-day island escape, Bora Bora Cartagena is the one to book.
How to Visit Bora Bora Cartagena Beach Club
I booked my visit directly through Viator, which made the process super easy. The Bora Bora team is professional and organized, and I felt completely safe traveling solo. I arrived at the port around 8 a.m., checked in, and boarded a speedboat with a small group of other travelers. The ride itself was scenic, with ocean views and a refreshing breeze that set the tone for the day.

What to Expect at Bora Bora Cartagena
When you arrive, you’re greeted with a welcome drink and escorted to your reserved beach bed. I chose the VIP package, which cost around 200,000 COP (about $90 USD). It included a front-row bed with uninterrupted ocean views, premium service, and access to a quieter section of the beach. If you’re on a tighter budget, you can book a standard package starting from 50,000 COP (around $13 USD), which still gives you access to the beach and facilities.
Food and drinks aren’t included, except for lunch in some packages. Expect to pay around $10–$15 USD per drink or meal, which is a bit pricey for Colombia but worth it for the setting. The menu includes fresh seafood, tropical cocktails, and light bites perfect for a beach day.

Activities and Relaxation
Bora Bora Cartagena Beach Club is designed for relaxation. There’s no Wi-Fi or cell service, which makes it the perfect digital detox spot. You can book a massage, rent a kayak, or simply lounge by the water with a book and a mojito. Personally, I spent most of my time sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying the peaceful vibe.
At around 3 p.m., it’s time to head back to Cartagena. The boat ride back is just as beautiful, with the sun starting to dip over the Caribbean Sea. I left feeling completely recharged and happy I’d made the trip.

Tips for Visiting Bora Bora Cartagena Beach Club
- Book in advance: Spots fill up quickly, especially on weekends and holidays.
- Bring cash: Some vendors and massage therapists only accept cash.
- Pack light: You’ll be on a boat, so keep your belongings minimal.
- Bring sunscreen and a hat: The Caribbean sun is strong, and shade is limited.
- Disconnect and enjoy: There’s no Wi-Fi, so embrace the break from your phone.
Is Bora Bora Cartagena Worth It?
Absolutely. Bora Bora Cartagena Beach Club is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I’ve visited in Colombia. It’s ideal for solo travelers, couples, or small groups looking for a luxurious beach day. The service is excellent, the setting is stunning, and the experience feels like a mini vacation within your vacation.
If you’re traveling solo and wondering about safety, I felt completely at ease the entire time. Cartagena is generally safe for solo female travelers, especially when you stick to organized tours and reputable companies. You can read more about that in my post on solo travel safety in Cartagena.

So if you’re looking for the best Cartagena beach club, Bora Bora Cartagena should be at the top of your list. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation, beauty, and island vibes that make Cartagena one of Colombia’s most unforgettable destinations.
